Return and warranty policy

Returns

Thank you for your interest in purchasing a product from Emergo Designs on http://www.madeforoysters.com. Given that each knife is custom made for you, we can’t accept these knives back. Therefore we have to maintain a ”No Return” policy. If you are not satisfied with our product however, we can discuss if we can provide improvements to your custom needs. And because all blades are made to order, chance might be there that we have not yet finished your blade yet. If this is the circumstance, we will allow order cancellation with a 100% refund within 10 days.

Warranty

Each knife comes with 5 years of warranty. Mistreating the knife might void warranty. Putting your knife in a dishwasher is super bad for custom shuckers because the heat and chemicals will damage both the wood and the glue. Also when someone fails to clean after use, rust may form over long periods of time.

Mechanical breakage of the blade or the handles are covered under warranty in regular use. Trying to break our oyster knife on purpose is not covered. Please contact us in case you have a defect on your knife. We will ask you to send back the product for testing and repair. If a defect is found, we will regrind or make a full new product for you. We kindly ask to report defects caused by shipping within 30 days
